Jon has been a Chicagoan since fall of 2003 and a Sontheimerian since summer 2004. Hailing from the near-sub-arctic reaches of northern New York (Saranac Lake, in to be precise), Jon is among the few NU grad students who finds Chicago winters refreshingly mild. When he's out of the lab, Jon can often be found driving in his car either to or from the lab. In the event that he is at home, he is frequently cooking with his wife Jackie, a grad student in Eric Weiss' lab up up the hall.
